Lovely, Lush-tastic Treats!

Hello Internet Peoples! I hope you’re all feeling relaxed and happy as we reach the end of another week. As I write this, I’m still dosed up with a bad cold, blowing my poorly little snotterbox on a regular basis (i.e. every three milliseconds. This isn’t fun 😥 ).

I’m a firm believer that it’s hard to beat a nice, long soak in the bath. Whether you’re stressed, achy or just stinky (I’m not here to judge), having a bath just seems to help your worries melt away. So in going along with such beliefs, I’m sure you won’t find it hard to believe that I am a HUGE Lush fan.

Last week, I had a really busy day at work- a really rainy day too, and so I got absolutely drenched. And all I could think was, how awesome would it be if i had a lovely Lush bath to go home to? So the next time I was in Belfast, I made sure to call in, and pick up a few treats, which of COURSE, I’m going to share with you lovely people!

The first thing was the Honey Bee, one that I’d never tried before. This is a bath bomb (or bath ballistic), and it smells, as you can imagine, just like honey. It’s sweet and sugary, and I can imagine that this is going to turn my bath a gorgeous light yellow shade. I think this one would be a really awesome pick-me-up after a crappy day.

I then saw this- Twilight. Now, I have used Twilight before- it’s this gorgeous purple colour, and turns the bath a lazy lilac shade. It smells like lavender, and so it’s the perfect bath time treat for a pre-bed soak. It always leaves me feeling really soothed, and sleepy!

Lastly, I got the Experimenter. This is one I’ve heard a LOT about. It looks like it’s going to turn my bath all kinds of crazy shades, but that’s what I love- a bath bomb which fizzes and splutters out a thousand different, wacky colours. My boyfriend said “it smells like church!” and I don’t think he’s wrong there- I can’t put my finger on the scent at all- or my nose, for that matter. All I know is, I’m going to save this one as a special treat!

Moving away from bath bombs, I also picked up their “Sea Spray” for my hair. I’ve got quite thick hair, but it doesn’t always have the volume I’d like it to, and so I’d spent aaaaaaages searching for the perfect solution. This stuff does work- it also smells a lot better than my old L’Oreal one did (aka eau de vodka). I really like using it when I’ve left my hair in plaits overnight, so it’s a little bit wavy- this gives it some added va va room. However, at £12.50 per smaaaaall bottle, I think it could be a while before I’ll buy it again. I might use the empty bottle to try and make my own!

I have to say, my all time favourite Lush bath-treat is by far Big Blue. The colour, the aroma… ugh, it’s just TOO good! What are you guys’ favourite Lush products? Anything I should try out next time? I love hearing suggestions!

PS, I keep all my lovely Lush things in this cute little tin which Chris bought me for Christmas. It came full of Lush things, so even when it’s empty, it smells like heavenly deliciousness!

A bientôt!
