Hello there, lovely internet peoples! I trust you’re all getting through the week with minimal hitches, glitches and bumps. As for me, I am DYING with the cold, and so I’m typing this from bed in cute n’ cosy avocado pyjamas.
So, I’m not the most girly person out there. I like make up and jewellery and clothes just the right amount, but if you know me well, you’ll know that I generally don’t wear an excessive amount of any of these things (except clothes; gosh, that sentence could have veered off somewhere…). I think most of my friends would describe me as quite a quirky person- I don’t really like to follow the crowd when I can avoid doing so. Back in High School, when I was 13, I used to paint my nails a different, crazy colour every day, and wear a hairband to match, whilst all the other girls ran off to the toilets to paint on another layer of foundation. I was never “cool”, but I knew that being different and a little bit eccentric was a good thing.
Which is why, when I discovered Eclectic Eccentricity, I felt like I was in heaven. They design beautiful jewellery, which is always a little bit different- quirky, unique and absolutely stunning. It’s well made, very affordable, and just gorgeous! Over the past year, since I discovered them, I’ve put in quite a few orders, and so I thought I’d share with you guys some of the amazing things I’ve got.
Of all the jewellery I wear, rings are probably my favourites. I’m really lucky to have a few pandora rings, but I seem to reach for my EE rings so much more, as they’re so unique and quirky.
My first ring was this cute little double heart number which was a gift from my lovely boyfriend last year. It wraps around your finger; the amazing thing about these rings is that you don’t have to worry about “what size” you are- they are all adjustable! This one is a golden, brassy colour, and I love it. So simple, yet so cute. Chris bought it for me as a surprise the summer before I went to live in France, and so I used to wear it while I was away and I missed him.
Chris also bought me a “star” version too, with the same idea- it wraps around the finger, and is also really comfortable to wear, as well as being a really pretty design.
Last week, I treated myself to two new little numbers- firstly, this cool little infinity ring. Again, you can adjust this ring to fit your finger. It’s really different to any of the other rings I have- I love how there’s no “band” as such, it’s just one big infinity symbol which wraps around your finger. I think it’d make a lovely gift for a girlfriend for an anniversary, or something cute like that.
The last ring I have is quite possibly my favourite. I’ve bought two as birthday presents for two of my girlies, but I loved it so much, I had to buy one for myself too! It’s a little brass bicycle ring. It made me think of my trips to Amsterdam- the relaxed city with all the bikes lined up along the river… Such good memories, and now every time I look at the ring, I’ll remember how much I love that city.
I’m lucky to have two lovely pairs of earrings from these lovely people.
The first ones I got were these quirky little numbers. Now, admittedly, I don’t really change up my earring game much; I mostly wear little gold hoops, or a special pair I got from someone very dear to me for my 18th. But these, again, are so adorable, and another lovely gift, so they convinced me to switch it up a tad.
My FAVOURITE earrings, though, are a pair that I can’t find right now, annoyingly enough! They’re a little moon and star, and they are honestly the nicest little earrings I’ve ever seen. I got my ears pierced a second time last March, and they work really well as my little “second earrings”. I know they are somewhere in my bedroom, but I swear my life has been so unorganised since I came home from France. They’re pictured down below, as we move along to…
I have two fabulous necklaces. The first is this seriously rad stone necklace, again a present from the bae. It’s so me and so different and I love it. I love wearing it with my “hippie” clothes- loud patterns, bright colours and pizzaz.
Guys and dolls, this is my favourite part. I saw this necklace on Instagram AAAAAAAAGES ago, and I knew I needed it. It was the first thing that drew me to the website, like a bee is drawn to flowers. Joking aside, it’s a little bumble bee, with a little piece of Amber honey. My flipping name is Amber, for pete’s sake- I love having amber jewellery! So the fact that it was constantly sold out made me very sad- until that fateful day, when I found out they’d come back in stock. Yay! It’s by far my faaaaaaavourite piece of jewellery I’ve ever bought myself, and I wear it all the time. Everyone always compliments it, too! I am so happy it’s finally in my possession.
So that’s it! Seriously lads and lassies, these people are brilliant. They make gorgeous jewellery, which is perfect for birthdays, anniversaries, or just a wee treat to yourself (the latter is the best, methinks). The packaging is also seriously cute- lovely little boxes with gorgeous, blue tissue paper.
(ps, my nail polish is Essie’s Mint Candy Apple, if you’re curious!)
Go check them out, you will NOT regret it.
You know you want to!
